He is getting so big, he has almost outgrown the chair!
Please excuse the shadow. He was slipping out of the chair, so this picture was taken in a hurry! ;)
We went back to the NSG yesterday, and he has scheduled Jake's surgery for Monday around noon. He will be replacing the catheter that goes from his shunt into his brain. Hopefully, the catheter will not be stuck (he dosen't think it is) and come out easily so that they will not have to make another entrance in Jake's skull. We are obviously nervous, but, Jake has already overcome so much, we know our little miracle baby will do great! Speaking of, here are some of the great things he is doing now!
Jake,
You are THREE MONTHS OLD! This is what you are doing now:
- You take your last bottle between 7:30-8:30 and sleep until 6-6:30 most nights.
- You are eating 4 oz of formula thickened with 5tsp of rice every feeding. You eat about every three hours during the day.
- You are talking and smiling like crazy! We are waiting to hear that laugh!
- You love your sitting in your boppy and batting at the toys on your playmat. Your favorites are a big moose and a smiling octopus.
- You love listening to books and looking at the pictures. Your favorites are Color Farm and Color Zoo by Louise Elhart, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle.
- You really like all of the bright, flashy toys you received for Christmas, however, sometimes you give me a look that says "Why are you always sticking flashing lights in front of my face?"
- You have met all of your milestones, excecpt for picking up your head when on your belly. It is still just too heavy for your neck muscles, but we are working on it!
Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!

I love his outfit with the verse! I'll be praying everything goes well next week. Audra McLeod
