It has been such a busy couple of weeks in the LeMaster household! We started our first Kindermusik class two weeks ago. Jake loves it and is still trying to take it all in! It wears him out to be so stimulated for a solid hour that he always sleeps for an extra hour the following morning. How do we feel about Kindermusik you ask? Let me just say that we love it, and, even as a kindergarten teacher who is used to kiddie music and dancing, it is still HILARIOUS!

We also went to a follow up visit with the NSG. The NP felt that Jake's incision was healing nicely, and he seems to be doing just fabulous. ;) We did schedule an appt next week to have another ultrasound of his brain to make sure that the shunt is still in the correct place and doing it's job.

We had our first meeting with Tennessee Early Intervention to have Jake assessed and see if and what kind of therapies he might need. We are pretty positive that he will qualify for some PT to help strengthen his neck muscles, and we will see about anything further. Jake had an assessment in our home last week, and they sent us a report that he was 25% delayed in some categories. (I mean really, how much expressive and receptive language do you expect a 3 month old to have? And adaptive skills? No, he can't tie his shoes. ;) ) I am just kidding, they are actually pretty fabulous from our experience thus far. And guess what? Jake isn't 25% delayed, he is 75% ahead of where we were once told he would be. And we will take it!
