8 Months Old

I am sure that this must be someone else's baby....how could our baby be 8 mos old already?

Sweet baby Jake,
You are growing up so fast mommy and daddy blink and you are another month old! You are keeping up with all of your milestones and you are the happiest baby!

• We are not sure how much you weigh because you haven't been back to the doctor lately, but we guess around 20-22 lbs.


• You are still only eating 5 four oz bottles a day. The doctor said you are weaning yourself off of the bottle...only it's too early! We have to hold you down and fight to get you to drink that much, but you still love any solid foods we will give you!


• You love to be read to. You smile every time we get to the page with the red bird, black sheep, and teacher in Brown Bear by Eric Carle. You also smile at every page in What Is It?


• You are making all kinds of noises, but no "real words" yet. I am sure that Mommy will be your first word though...right?


• You are becoming a little bit unsure of strangers, and throw a fit every time mommy or daddy leave the room if you are playing by yourself. You are fine if someone you know is in the room with you though. You usually warm up to strangers pretty quickly..especially the ladies!


• You have 6 teeth. Four on top and two on the bottom.
  


• You army crawl ALL OVER the place!
  


• You have just noticed Moxy, and chase her as fast as you can belly crawl!


• You have recently started crying before naps and at bedtime. It usually only lasts a few minutes, but mommy and daddy hate to hear you cry! You have started to cry as soon as daddy starts to pray with you in the evening. Apparently you have figured out that bedtime follows prayers, and it is SO funny!


• You love to play peek-a-boo!
  


• You play with our hair in the back with your right hand when we hold you and it so sweet!

We love you and can't wait to see your sweet face every morning!
