Nine Months Old!

Sweet Baby Jake,

This last month has been so crazy busy that mommy almost had to post your nine and ten month old posts together! Mommy has been hard at work enjoying every last moment with you before I go back to work, and Daddy has been enjoying his time off with you too! You are getting so big, and, you are starting to look more like a little boy and less like a baby. I just refuse to believe that you will be turning one soon, and our monthly posts will not be necessary!

  • You weigh 19lb 13 oz and are 31 inches long! 95% for height and 50% for weight!

  • You really like to feed yourself all of your food, but we still feed you by spoon or with our hands some of the time.

  • We are beginning to try some cooked milk products...and so far....so good!

  • You drink 3 5-6 oz bottles a day. Morning, after nap, and bedtime. You still don't really like them and would rather have your cup.

  • You have 6 1/2 teeth! You have one on the bottom trying to come in.

  • You love turning pages in books when we read them to you and you turn them FAST!

  • You know to jump when we clap and say "jump jump!" and it is the funniest when you are on your belly! You also will shake your hands or toys when we say "Shake shake!"

  • You bang your hands on the high chair when you want more. (We will surely have to work on this!)

  • You have started to make your wishes known. We won't call them "fits" yet, but you are slowly working that way!

  • When you are through with something or don't want it, you take it and throw it across the room. (or car, or table, etc)

  • You are trying to pull up, but it is hard to pull up from your belly. You are getting really strong though, so it won't be long!

  • You have been going to the church nursery for a little over a month now, and you seem to really like it. Hopefully you will feel the same way about day care next month!

Mommy and Daddy love you so much! We cannot wait to come home every day and see that sweet baby smile, and snuggle you! (Maybe TRY to snuggle you is a better representation.)
